Valmet Delivers Sixth New Chipping Line to ITC Limited to Meet Increased Capacity Needs

Valmet has received an order from ITC Limited to supply a new wood chipping line to its pulp mill in Bhadrachalam, India. The delivery is part of ITC’s ongoing improvement initiatives at the Bhadrachalam mill to increase chipping capacity with high quality chips. The new line is designed for low wood losses, superior and even chip quality as well as high availability and easy maintenance.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the third quarter 2025. Start-up of the new wood chipping line is scheduled for the end of 2026.

Details about the order
Valmet’s delivery consists of a chipping line with a log infeed conveyor, Valmet Disc Chipper GSN 750 and chip handling with Valmet Chip Screen CSE 1200 and Valmet Chip Cutter. The delivery includes machinery, commissioning, training and start-up supervision. Additionally, supervision of mechanical installation of the chipping line is carried out by Valmet.
