New Dates Set for Inaugural Edition of CorruTec ASIA as Trade Exhibition Moves to February 2022
The inaugural edition of CorruTec ASIA – International Corrugated Technology Exhibition for Asia, will now be moved to 9 – 12 February 2022 at BITEC, Bangkok. Held alongside the 8th edition of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, the move to next year from the original September 2021 date will allow for optimum participation for CorruTec ASIA. The synergies between the two trade fairs will continue to drive growth within Southeast Asia for the packaging, printing, labelling and corrugated technology industries.
A joint collaboration with the Thai Corrugated Packaging Association (TCPA), CorruTec ASIA is a dedicated exhibition for manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, accessories, technology and services from the corrugated and folding carton industries.
Gernot Ringling, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf Asia said, “The postponement of CorruTec ASIA was made after much deliberation with our partner, international industry associations, and together with our representative office in Thailand who have been closely monitoring the pandemic developments in Thailand. Coupled with the ongoing travel restrictions and varying quarantine requirements for different countries, we made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the exhibition to February 2022 to safeguard the health and economic interests of all stakeholders. We remain committed to meet the business needs of our industry partners, local and international exhibitors and trade visitors.”
Chusak Deetrakunwattanapoen, President, Thai Corrugated Packaging Association (TCPA), said, “We look to next year with confidence as the global economy and markets rebound. We are confident that the easing of government regulations and travel policies will place CorruTec ASIA 2022 in a stronger position to conduct business in a stable and primed market.”
“The co-location of the exhibition with PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL will also be a strong complement for the synergistic industries, and together I believe we are sending a positive message to the packaging and corrugated markets both locally and internationally and the trade fairs will be beneficial for all involved,” he added.
CorruTec ASIA 2022 will also be held alongside several other exhibitions under the Messe Düsseldorf Asia umbrella, including; PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, T-PLAS, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND, wire and Tube Southeast Asia, and the inaugural editions of GIFA and METEC Southeast Asia.
