Monadnock Paper Mills Appoints Andrew Manns as Chief Executive Officer

Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc., one of the oldest operating paper mills in the U.S., has appointed Andrew Manns as Chief Executive Officer, following the planned leadership transition initiated by the late Richard G. Verney.

Manns brings 30 years of experience with Monadnock, joining the company in 1995 as Vice President of Finance and serving as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer before being personally requested by Verney to lead the company as CEO.

As CEO, Manns brings continuity to Monadnock’s mission at a time when the paper and packaging industries face increasing complexity, from sustainability regulations to supply chain disruption and evolving customer expectations.

Having navigated over 200 years of continuous operation, Monadnock will remain committed to delivering high-quality materials that meet market needs while minimising environmental impact. The company’s recent Platinum rating from EcoVadis ranks it among the top 1% globally for corporate social responsibility—reinforcing its leadership in environmental responsibility. Innovations like Renovo®, a paper-based alternative to plastic gift cards, highlight Monadnock’s purposeful approach to developing high-performance, scalable and sustainable solutions.

“We’re focused on developing the next generation of high-quality, fibre-based solutions with the same care and responsibility that have guided us for two centuries,” added Manns. “I’m excited about what’s ahead for Monadnock.”

In a time of change, Monadnock remains rooted in its steadfast commitment to doing what’s right for its customers, employees, and the planet.
