New Packaging Machine Expands Development Capabilities for Sustainable Packaging Papers

With the commissioning of its first in-house packaging machine at the Innovation Campus in Oberkirch, Koehler Innovation & Technology is further strengthening its development and testing capabilities for flexible packaging papers. The new vertical form-fill-seal machine enables newly developed paper-based solutions to be tested under realistic conditions and assessed directly for their performance on packaging equipment.

The machine complements the existing pilot facilities at the site and creates ideal conditions for an integrated development process – from paper development to practical application. This allows development cycles to be shortened, product risks to be reduced and innovative packaging solutions to reach the market more quickly.

With this investment, the Koehler Group is expanding its application expertise along the entire value chain and reinforcing its commitment to supporting customers as a development partner in the creation of sustainable and recyclable packaging solutions.
