Jürgen Lemke Appointed New COO Paper at Klingele

The Klingele Paper & Packaging Group is expanding its management team: Jürgen Lemke is now taking over the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Paper division. In this role, he will be responsible for the Group’s global paper activities, including the paper mills in Weener (Germany), Nova Campina (Brazil) and Strasbourg (France), as well as for supplying paper to the Klingele Group’s corrugated board plants. Another focus is on the strategic development of the business area and the optimisation of capacity utilisation at the paper mills.

With his many years of experience managing paper mills and corrugated board plants,  Lemke brings comprehensive operational and strategic expertise. His previous successes include the integration of new sites, the conversion of production lines for the manufacture of corrugated board base paper, and the introduction of innovative, lightweight paper grades.

Lemke succeeds Robert Sieger, who is leaving Klingele after eight successful years of service to pursue new professional challenges. During his time there, he has contributed with great commitment to the company’s continued development.

“I am grateful for the past eight years at Klingele, which have offered me exciting challenges and opportunities,” said Robert Sieger, looking back on his time at Klingele.

With the appointment of Lemke, Klingele is sending a clear signal for the consistent further development of its integrated paper and packaging strategy – with the aim of strengthening synergies, exploiting efficiency potential and securing long-term competitiveness.
